Is the Media in the can for Obama: Survey says yes

Jack Fowler provides some useful data from a recent SurveyUSA poll of residents of the State of Washington.
When asked "Is the media rooting for Barack Obama? Rooting for John McCain? Or trying its best to be fair to both?" 52% said "for Obama," 8% said "for McCain," 35% said "being fair to both." Interesting: 28% of Democrats, 28% of liberals, and 42% of moderates chose "for Obama."
This race is difficult to win from behind if there were no media at all. I had higher expectations that the press would cover the conventions accurately, but this weekend was one of the worst spectacle's in dumpster diving history. The bar was set extremely low.

We'll have to wait and see how these numbers project nationally.
